The parents group, Middlesbrough Mums, has been very busy recently promoting the importance of accessible information for parents with learning disabilities.

They got support from the Health Facilitation Team and funding from the PCT.

The Middlesbrough Mums campaigned for health professionals to buy CHANGE's parenting books My Pregnancy My Choice, You and Your Little Child and You and Your Baby.

Not only midwives at the local hospital, but health visitors in the 6 district bases, SureStart teams and the Health Promotion Unit are all now using these easy-read books from CHANGE.

Not content with that, the Middlesbrough Mums have also been training student midwives and nurses at Teesside University.  Well done, Middlesbrough Mums!
