The cancer team from CHANGE visited the chemotherapy and radiotherapy departments in Bexley Wing, St James's Hospital, Leeds, to find out about the different treatments for cancer.

We wanted to find out what it might be like for a person with learning disabilities to go through being in hospital for cancer treatments.

We are using our experiences in the books about cancer we are making for people with learning disabilities and their carers.

The books will cover:

Symptoms, screening and staying healthy

Diagnosis and treatment

Palliative care and bereavement

The Books will be available in August 2010.
