The Cancer Team at CHANGE were involved in the 'Supporting Patients through Radiotherapy Conference'.

The conference was organised by St. James's Hospital in Leeds on the 4th June 2010.

The Cancer Team were invited to be on a panel with health professionals to discuss the best way to care for vulnerable patients when they have radiotherapy.

We talked about the best support for people with learning disabilities having radiotherapy and the importance of accessible information about cancer.

The Cancer Team had a display stand to show samples of the new Cancer series of books as well as the other accessible books that CHANGE makes.

Staff at St James's Hospital are very happy with the Cancer Team taking part and helping professionals know how to give the best support to people with learning disabilities having radiotherapy.
