CHANGE takes two awards at ‘Breakthrough UK’ ceremony in Manchester

Last month staff and volunteers from CHANGE attended the glittering Breakthrough UK Awards 2010.

The event was hosted by the Lord Mayor of Manchester at Manchester Town Hall on Wednesday 16th June.

CHANGE staff received two Highly Commended Awards

CHANGE project workers Shaun Webster and Frances Affleck along with Durbali Roy, a volunteer at CHANGE, received the two Highly Commended awards which were presented at Manchester Town Hall.

Durbali Roy said,

“I was happy that we got the award and I really enjoyed it. It showed that people think that our accessible information work is really good”.

Shaun Webster said,

“I thought it was good to get the award because it was a big thing for us to be there. It showed that we are recognised for the work we do even though we are a small organisation punching above our weight.

“I am proud that people are taking notice of what CHANGE does”.
