The aim of the project is to give people with learning disabilities a strong voice

The aim of the project is to give people with learning disabilities a strong voice and to make sure services involve them and listen to what they have to say.

We are working with 5 advocacy organisations.

CHANGE is working with People First across the United Kingdom
  • Bristol People First
  • Newcastle Skills for People
  • Norfolk People First
  • Birmingham People First
  • Tameside People First
People with learning disabilities deliver their own training and speak up at meetings

These groups are learning more about making and delivering their own training and speaking up at meetings.

We have done training already

We have already done some training. This was about why training is important and what being a trainer involves.

Lots of people shared their experiences and expertise at the training days

These training days have been successful. Lots of people shared their experiences and expertise. They told us they enjoyed learning more about this.

Being professional and being paid the right amount for the job

This work will help the groups to be professional and get paid the right amount of money for the work they do.
